Last year it was June 14th the first time I ran 5 miles and that was quite the ordeal! Took over 3 hours.
Here’s my journal entry:
Ran 20 reps of 5 minute sets, plus an additional 10 minutes of – 30 sec rest periods, that’s almost 100 minutes! Walking occasionally in between but overall at a strong pace for me and finished the trail standing. I ran all the way from Graves Creek over to Deep Creek and back! Ok maybe not all the way back, but basically all the way there and probably 2/3 – 3/4 of the way back! I just took Joe:~)
Doing so much better in 2014 with 5.5 miles yesterday in a straight 90 minutes with no breaks! This years marathon promises to be so much better! Can’t wait!
