A fawn and its momma by the driveway.
My stomach has been in knots for days. I’m back in Montana doing some local training.
Montana wildlife – haha.
Friday I headed out over the pass thinking flat, on the trail, soft and easy, I’ll do seven miles no problem. Although I made it across the lower divide road and back 3.6 miles each way in just over 2 ½ hours It wasn’t easy and I walked as much as I ran if not more. Sunday went better. I completed the full 7.2 running the whole way practically walking up the occasional steep hill, realizing that the trail, I visualized as flat is really a bit of an incline on the way south and downhill slightly on the way back to my car. This helped a lot. I was stronger and more confident although ready to be done sort of. I walked another mile uphill to stretch out and finished doing almost 9 miles total for the day.
