Bib 2366!!!

Well, late this afternoon the clouds piled up and it cooled off enough I braved the heat and went for a run to stretch and relax a little. On the drive to the trailhead I saw a bear run through the woods! Seemed like a good omen. I found myself at the trailhead with no dog leashes or bear spray. Since I was just aiming for a short run, I went ahead and trotted off thinking its only a half hour at most and besides what are the odds I would see another.

It went really well, a little slow but strong. It started to pour before we made it back to the car, but we managed not to get soaked. The sun was beaming down hot as can be before we even pulled up the driveway back home.
The picture is a bear I saw in Glacier National Park from last spring but basically same size and color.
Here’s to the race this weekend…
